I am still sitting in The Lodge as I write this.I have removed any negatives that would be down to the property’s age, but there a few I’m afraid. Firstly the key box not great, it is positioned in a hidden place (I totally get that) but so low and awkward to put the code in. The room when you first walk in looks lovely but when not quite as perfect as pictured!! The bed creaks outrageously, anytime you moved or got up!! The bed is placed so that you either get out of it straight into a wall or the other side you hit your head on the light! The bed protector/sheet didn’t fit and kept coming off! Not sure how many times we had to remake it during the night! The bathroom door didn’t shut properly unless you slammed it, so again waking your partner up! The mirror had no plug sockets near to it, so it wasn’t easy to get ready if you use straighteners/hairdryer etc! After possibly one of the worse nights sleeps, we went to make a coffee using the very thoughtful items left for us but NO mugs/cups nothing!!! 2 small plates/1 bowl just absolutely ridiculous, as you can tell I don’t function well without a coffee or sleep. My 1 star is purely for location, it’s in a very village
Really clean, everything you need for relaxing stay. Lots of great places near by to see and do. Easy to get to and let self in x
A lovely quaint little cottage - Eleanor sent over a document with great local recommendations and helpful check information which made for a great stay. We’ll absolutely be back.
A great little place. 15 minute drive to Bath. Thanks for having us.
Lovely property with everything you could need
Elle had thoughtfully left fresh home-made bread for us and plenty of tea/coffee etc. The little kitchen had everything necessary for those wanting to self-cater. We were very impressed with this property and would certainly recommend it.
Excellent accommodation, very clean and tidy. All amenities especially with the little added personal touches of homemade bread and jam. Would definitely return again.
Cosy room, but spacious enough for a comfortable double bed and two chairs, coffee table. Didn't expect a separate kitchen (from the pics, I thought it was in part of the main room) - well-furnished with cooker, microwave, cafetiere. Slippers are a thoughtful touch for the tiled floors in kitchen and shower room. Clear instructions for finding and staying in the property.
Breakfast (crumpets and tea) left for us. Lovely lodge, quick bus journey into bath. Loved the weekend, would highly recommend. Small and dainty, just the way we like it :). Nice sized bed, cosy setting all in one. Bathroom done to a high standard. Very cosy. Lovely little village also.
