The School Rooms is situated in the picturesque village of Box and is within easy reach of the World Heritage city of Bath (6 miles). This spacious apartment is positioned on the ground floor of a beautiful, Georgian family residence. Providing accommodation for up to 12 guests – it’s the perfect hub for families and groups looking to relax by the pool or explore the endless list of local attractions!
About this space
Upon entering The School Rooms you’ll be greeted by our recently refurbished, fully equipped kitchen, complete with marble flooring, a large 5 burner range cooker, dishwasher and washing machine.To the left of the kitchen is a very generous (4x10meters) open-plan lounge and dining room. An impressive, flexible space that boasts plenty of traditional features. You’ll be able to make use of the three comfy sofas (these are also sofa beds), large dining table, flat screen Sony TV, sound system, pool table, blackboard and board games.

Outside space
There is an alfresco dining area at the front of The School Rooms – a perfect spot for Afternoon Tea or a BBQ (BBQ and gas can be supplied on request).
The private heated swimming pool, premium hot tub and Mediterranean style terrace creates a social haven which offers something for you to enjoy. These facilities are located 20 metres just across the courtyard from the apartment and are for your exclusive and private use during your stay.
The swimming pool is open April- November and the hot tub is open all year round. The outdoor areas close at 9pm. We would ask in respect of our neighbours that you refrain from playing any music outside, we provide speakers inside which can be used until 12 midnight. After this we ask noise is kept to a minimum. Early check-in and late check-out can on occasion be accommodated, this is chargeable at the same hourly rate as your stay.
Use of the pool and hot tub are not included with the Old School rooms, please book the New School Rooms for this.
There is free parking available on site. Buses run to Bath or Chippenham up to 4 times per hour.
Guest Access
You have your own private entrance. 24 hour check-in, we leave the key in a lock box (code supplied via email). We can offer early check-in and late check-out subject to availability.
Interaction with Guests
We are available via call/text. We like to give our guests as much privacy as they like, so keys are left in a secure location so you check-in and check-out whenever you wish.
The Neighbourhood
Box has plenty to offer, an indian restaurant just 100m away, three pubs all serving good food and a wide array of small convenience shops. This is a great location if exploring the surrounding Cotswolds countryside, visiting Lacock, Badminton, Bath, Bristol or working at the MOD in Corsham.
Getting Around
Parking is right outside. The buses run regularly into Bath (up to 4 per hour, takes 15-20 mins) and Chippenham (up to 3 per hour takes 30 mins). Timetables are left for you and can also be found online. We also have a parking map for car parks in Bath.

We went as a group of 9 friends and had a great time. Just a short bus ride into Bath. The location is lovely and the facilities were great. We would definitely come again
The hosts were excellent, we knew that if we had any problems Elle and James would be happy to help us and even gave us tips about the best nearby cocktail bars to during our trip into Bath! We especially enjoyed the freshly made bread on arrival and the slippers in everyone's bedrooms.
Great place for a larger group wanting to get away and have some fun. Great location and really easy getting to Bath centre
Lovely little tips with local walks, taxi numbers, etc. Not far from Bath either for day trips. I can highly recommend Elle’s place.
It was lovely to find tea, coffee, milk, sugar and homemade jam upon arrival. We had bought some drinks and bread, but that was an unexpected extra and very much appreciated. It's a lovely cosy place and we loved playing a round of pool. My daughter already plans to come back with her friends.
Beautiful house with clear communication and instructions, enjoyed our stay and it’s not far to Bath with spacious rooms and good space for parking. Definitely will love to stay again.
We were left a lovely little welcome hamper and essentials such as tea, coffee and milk. The owners allowed us our privacy and we had a lovely meal just down the road at a local bistro. Also was perfect location for getting in and out of bath on the bus, I've always had trouble trying to drive and park in bath but this was the perfect solution.
Everything! The last was soo nice, she noticed it was my hen do and left my some little present and a card on the door step! The little touches with the homemade bread, Jam, milk, tea was lovely! Coudlnt fault the accomadation was spacious! Fab location just outside bath! Will deffintly book to stay here again when we come back to bath!
A lovely property in a beautiful location. Excellent social space for dining and relaxing. Very easy to get into Bath. Would recommend.
